In the event that anybody actually does read this thing....

I will be leaving the state on wednesday, and the country on saturday. I may or may not have internet access/time to ge ton between those two events.
After I leave the country I almost definitely won't.
If things go according to plan I'll be back on Thursday the 9th, though who knows if I'll have time or energy to do anything before friday.
So, till then, see ya, and wish me a happy vacation. :D

I really like this song....It's sad. T-T

Viktor was born in the spring of '44
And never saw his father anymore
A child of sacrifice, a child of war
Another son who never had a father after Leningrad

Went off to school and learned to serve the state
Followed the rules and drank his vodka straight
The only way to live was drown the hate
A Russian life was very sad
And such was life in Leningrad

I was born in '49
A cold war kid in McCarthy time
Stop 'em at the 38th Parallel
Blast those yellow reds to hell
And cold war kids were hard to kill
Under their desk in an air raid drill
Haven't they heard we won the war
What do they keep on fighting for?

Viktor was sent to some Red Army town
Served out his time, became a circus clown
The greatest happiness he'd ever found
Was making Russian children glad
And children lived in Leningrad

But children lived in Levittown
And hid in the shelters underground
Until the Soviets turned their ships around
And tore the Cuban missiles down
And in that bright October sun
We knew our childhood days were done
And I watched my friends go off to war
What do they keep on fighting for?

And so my child and I came to this place
To meet him eye to eye and face to face
He made my daughter laugh, then we embraced
We never knew what friends we had
Until we came to Leningrad

Leningrad-Billy Joel

So anyway, I've gotta get some lines down on paper before I lose them...
Everything's busy now.
And hectic.
And budgets are tight, but not breaking.
We'll see where I am after my (too short, too full) vacation.
Hey, hey, I got lots of Zelda cards.
I hope I can afford more soon. >_<
I MUST HAVE THEM ALL!
And I could win a Wii!
But there's only ten available...
But there's 125 chances for the nifty Zelda: TP T-shirt! :D
Also: CARDS! *explodes in a fit of unseemly fanboyism*

Nobody reads my blog anymore! T_T

Not that it matters much.
Incidentally: title link, yay!

Oh, and If you die in Canada, you die in real life!

Update at 1:24 pm
Hmm...this line has been floating around my head since some time last night...
"And I'll feel better in October;
So call me when September's over..."
It has music attached but no context.
I need context.
I very much want to write this song/poem just for the sake of this line. >_<

Love, Music, Wine, and Revolution.

Huh. That trip was a bit more expensive than I'd expected it to be.
But definitely worth it.
Budget's gonna be tight for a while. >_O
But I'm sure I'll manage.
Man, but I really need that transfer. >_<

Why does no one seem to realize that air is the moody bipolar element?
No, it's all butterflies and sunshine, never mind the thunderstorms and cloudly days.
