Peru

Well I'm going on a missions trip to Peru, we will be helping to build a schoolhouse.
Hopefully all the work will help me get back into shape after a long lazy summer.
We are also going to spend a few days in Lima for sightseeing.
I'm still struggling with my spirituality still. It's a faith thing, I really need something to hold on to, and I can't accept atheism and have rejected christianity, so I guess I'm temporarily agnostic.
But I'm at a point where I'm pretty much grasping of whatever I can get a hold of. Either that or I try to distract myself from the topic (not hard since I'm ADHD).
Nevertheless, I need help. I just don't know what to thik anymore.
well I guess that's all for now.

A few days late

I meant to update my blog sooner, but the past two days i was too tired and distracted to do so.
so anyway, here goes:
On monday, after the party and not enough sleep, I got up at 9:00am and went to help finish striking the set, I had to help rewight the fly-rail, which was fun cause i haven't been up on the grid/loading deck in 4ever, since i was a sophomore actually.
Then I went over to Adam's house 4 a while to talk, then I went with my bro, Adam, Justin, and Tom to see I-Robot, which was a kickass movie.  I really enjoyed it anyway.
Then on Tuesday, I spent the day taking my sis shopping, and we got food too.  In the evening Niels and I went to see Anchorman, which was also a pretty good movie.
Today I spent at King's Island with Tom, we had a great time.
Tomorrow I will spend most of the day packing for the missions trip to Peru. I'll be in such good shape when I get back.  Soon after I return I will be leaving 4 college, wish me luck.
That's all for now, ta ta.

West Side Story For the Last Time

Well our matinee preformance today(yesterday, ahh the insomnia), was probably our best preformance as a group, the audience sucked though, typical sunday afternoon crowd, (did you notice i'm writing in commas), personally I had a bad show (that always seems to happen on the best overall show,  I wonder if there's a correlation), but it doesn't really matter because the cast party totally kicked total ass, (and i finally got to see Krupke preformed(is always to look at music), I need to make sure i get a copy of the video, and I can't wait till next year, (they always need trombones), oh and I mean too write a parody/satirical sequel for the play, but it will prolly be Justin who actually does all the work (for one acts next winter), I will definately help though, as it was my idea to begin with (although since i'll probably never actually do it, i don't mind if he does, as long as he lets me help and shares credit), (if you're reading this Justin, hint, hint), anywho that's all 4 now Xcept that i'm going over to Adam's 2morrow, going to see Anchorman w/ me bro on tuesday, going to Kings Island w/ tommu on wednesday, packing on thursday, and leaving for peru (missions trip) on friday, that's all so good bye. (gasp! a period!)

Not So Good

Weellll, tonight's preformance wasn't as good as the two preceding it. Oh, it was still good, it just lacked poignancy. And we had some lighting problems. And although the audience was responsive, someone laughed when Tony got shot. What the hell? My guess is that they were laughing at them selves for being startled by the gun. But still, it was kinda weird. Gee Officer Krupke was an even bigger hit than in the previous preformances, and we did get another standing ovie, but personally I wasn't satisfied. One more to go, wish us luck.

Oh, yeah, about my musical careeer, hopefully i will be able to taking theory sometime next year. I'll settle for being an amatuer musician and maybe a composer, wish me luck.

WOW

I'm exhilarated!
Tonight's was an awsome performance.
We had a very Interactive audience, they sat for some time in shocked silence at the end of act one and could barely wait to start clapping after act two... standing ovation, again, though it was less spontaneous.
Someone even let out a quite audible shriek when tony got shot.
It was an awesome performance, Personally I improved.
On a more sour note, my stomach is still bothering the heck out of me, it feels like it's always empty, so empty that it hurts. I usually eat something and take some tums and I'm okay for a while but it always comes back.  It's probably just a bug which I will get over in a few days.
And now for something completely different...
I got interviewed today, sort of, this will only interest those of you who are curious about my musical career, but here's a copy of the conversation:

yensil314: hi
darkestthunder2: Oh hey 8D *dad's over right now so won't talk much...is scuttling back and forth doing stuff irl* X.x; But hi...again >_<;
yensil314: scuttling?
darkestthunder2: XDD Yes, scuttling.
yensil314: i see
darkestthunder2: I'm glad ><
darkestthunder2: Well, anywho, how are ya?
yensil314: pretty goo
yensil314: d
darkestthunder2: That's good...and how's the insomnia coming along? XDD
yensil314: Second performance of west side story tonight
darkestthunder2: Yeah, I heard on the news. Not sure if I should tune in or not, or if I can or not ><;
darkestthunder2: Gonna be busy packing
yensil314: i'm on hawaii time from my vacation, went to bed at three last night and couldn't sleep till four
yensil314: "darkestthunder2: Yeah, I heard on the news. Not sure if I should tune in or not, or if I can or not ><;" ???I meant at my school
darkestthunder2: Ouch...Yeah, I've been at my gparents visiting my cousin, so we didn't go to sleep until one most nights.
darkestthunder2: Oh! >__<;;;;
darkestthunder2: *smacks self*
darkestthunder2: I misunderstood, then.
darkestthunder2: But I did see something about this Westside story play thing...
yensil314: ???
darkestthunder2: Blech, I just know that it was on the TV on channel 3, talkin' bout it in Broadway or somethin' like that...o.o
yensil314: yeah, that's right it's playing on broadway right now, i'd forrgotten
darkestthunder2: *shakes head* I donno...o.o
yensil314: anyway, we did pretty well last night, I hope we continue to do so, 3 perfromances left
yensil314: so how are you
darkestthunder2: Ooo...what part are you?
yensil314: I'm in the orchestra
darkestthunder2: Oh, I'm fine...just this damn computer is messing up *whacks it*
yensil314: darn computers, mines been kinda slow lately
darkestthunder2: Hold up, did my other typing come through? *squints*
yensil314: what other typing
darkestthunder2: GAH! They're not showing up! >< Damn it...
yensil314: ?
yensil314: try sending it again
darkestthunder2: >< Damn...might just hafta get on Gaia so we can talk...AIM's being a bitch...*grumble*
darkestthunder2: ((and yes, I've tried scrolling down))
yensil314: I've gotten most of them i think
darkestthunder2: AH-HAH!
darkestthunder2: There we go ^_^
darkestthunder2: And REALLY?!
darkestthunder2: You're in the orchestra?!
darkestthunder2: That's so cool ^_^
darkestthunder2: You play the trombone, right?
yensil314: yup
yensil314: to all
darkestthunder2: lol
darkestthunder2: Heh...we're moving (have I told you a million times yet? ><; ), and I donno if the new school'll have a bassoon that I can use...so I'm worried o.o
yensil314: they probably will
darkestthunder2: Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The school site said that they had enough funding for everyone, and someone who used to work there said the music...er...programs or whatever are really good
yensil314: but if you're serious you should think about getting you're own
darkestthunder2: Yes, I am, but our money's tight at the moment - that's why we're moving, 'cause my mom's been driving four hours every day just to get to work...and...gas prices...SUCK. Anywho! ><;
darkestthunder2: Once I get a job I'm saving up for one.
yensil314: I had to pay for about 1/3 of my trombone
darkestthunder2: Oh, yeah? That seems fair.
darkestthunder2: ....><; Right then!
yensil314: the rest was a christmas present
darkestthunder2: Oh, yeah? That's fun! ^_^
darkestthunder2: See, I'm hoping that my mom will be able to at least get it, and pay the first few payments, and then once I get a good job I'll pay for the rest of it.
yensil314: it was cool though, cause they put a trombone christmas tree ornament in my stocking when they told me they would get me a real one
darkestthunder2: Fun! ^_^ That's clever...
darkestthunder2: When did you start playing it? And how long has it been since then?
darkestthunder2: Just wondering
yensil314: I was speechless
darkestthunder2: Man, I bet you were 8D
yensil314: i didn't actually get it till mid february
yensil314: it wass this year,
yensil314: just in time for solo and ensemble compitition
darkestthunder2: Fun ^^ How long have you been playing the trombone, overall?
yensil314: since 5th grade
darkestthunder2: What grade are you in now? >_<;;;
darkestthunder2: *is feeling like I'm interviewing you*
yensil314: just graduated and am about to start college
darkestthunder2: O.O Nuts! Heh, woah. Well then, that's longer than me, for sure.
darkestthunder2: I started playing the clarinet in the fifth grade, and then once I hit the seventh grade I switched to bassoon...and now I'm about to go into the 9th grade, so...><;;
yensil314: I didn't have to worry about switching, I used to play violin becaus at my school you could start strings in 3rd but had to wait till 5th for "band instruments"
yensil314: keep practicing
darkestthunder2: Yeah, no kidding...I think playing the violin would be fun...but nah, I'd never stop playing the bassoon.
yensil314: it took me forever, but i finally got and held 1st chair in the top band this year
darkestthunder2: ^^ *cheers*
yensil314: I also play baritone, but the trombone is my real passion
darkestthunder2: I used to have a friend who played the baritone...
darkestthunder2: But trombones are so cool...
darkestthunder2: I swear, I admire people who play it XDD I could never handle not having keys to work with.
darkestthunder2: Having the slide would just confuse me ><;
yensil314: you're constantly tuning
darkestthunder2: Heh, I'll bet...
yensil314: after it's like playing with a giant tuning slide
darkestthunder2: *nodnod* Sadly enough, at my old school, we didn't have any trombone players who were serious about it >.<
yensil314: You'll probably have more in high school
darkestthunder2: Yeah, I hope.
yensil314: I've come a long way since last chair in seventh grade
darkestthunder2: Wow, no kidding o.o
yensil314: although i do lot's of other things, and I'm really good at other things (especially test taking (I tend to screw up the curve)) Music is the only thing I really work at
yensil314: wow, I feel like I'm being interviewed
yensil314: lol
darkestthunder2: XD Yeah er...donno if I should be sorry for 'interviewing' you or not ><; Hrm...But yeah, I really...love music, man. Like, when we're playing a good song, or when I'm listening to some good classical music, I'm just like.."woah..." and I'm so...into it.
yensil314: That's okay, maybe if I get famous this conversation could hold valuble information
yensil314: :-)
darkestthunder2: Woo!
darkestthunder2: Better copy and paste it, then XP
yensil314: even better you can just save it
darkestthunder2: ...that is...very, very true...
yensil314: Yup
yensil314: Well, I need to go get ready for the play tonight, any parting comments/questions?
darkestthunder2: Erm...*squints eyes in thought* not...that I can think of...
darkestthunder2: So, I guess just good luck with the orchestra pit! ^^
yensil314: thanx, as we say in show buisness "break a leg" (i have no idea were that expression comes from)Bye
darkestthunder2: *waffles* Bye! And luck 8D
yensil314: thanks

Wow, that was long, and it was a bitch 'cause my copy/paste functon wouldn't transmit the format so I had to return between every line manually...yeecchh
Congratulations for getting this far down the page.
well I'd better end this since it keeps growng and you want to finish reading it today.
Bye Y'all

Opening Night

Well the play was a hit, standing ovation and we still have room to improve...
Hopefully I will miss fewer notes tomorrow/today(late night)
Personal victory was not throwing up in my trombone, my stomach is killing me, but i still played well.  Thank God 4 tums.
I have High Hopes for the rest of the show , it has certainly been a challenging one.
Unfortunately I'm still on hawaii time so am up later than usual.
But I should get some sleep since I'm babysitting tomorrow at 9:00 am.
bye y'all and wish me luck tommorrow/tonight.

West Side Story Tonight

WOW! the time of the musical is finally upon us...
I'm rather excited about it.
It is opening night after all.
I hope I do well, I'm a little worried since I haven't been to any of the dress rehearsals 'cept the last quarter or so of the last one.
Oh well, here goes.
To all of my friends in the cast/crew:
Break a Leg guys.

N is for Noodles!!!

Aloha my precious.
In Hawaii, the cool thing to do is to put pieces of white coral on the black lava rock on the side of the highway to spell things, the above and the title are two examples.
So any way, I had a great time.
I lost my cell phone.  Last day and i leave it in the airport in Honolulu.
Oh well.
Back to my adventures, I went parasailing, which was fun.
Also went to see the Pu'u O'o Lava vent which was really cool (or should I say hot?)
Watched the sunset from the top of Mauna Kea, then stargazed from one of the clearest skies on earth.
Saw dolphins, and they were very playful, which was great.
Lots of swimming.
And my favorite was: (drumroll)
Snorkleing, 4 seperate bays.
I saw sooo many fish, you wouldn't believe how many different kinds.
Hopefully got some good pics with the underwater disposable camera.
Swam with turtles, about a foot away, they were much friendly, did not touch though 'cause it's not aloud.
And finally I got lots of postcards which I will hopefully send eventually.
Oh and Adam might like to know that I successfully "touched" the Ka'a or spirit of the mountain on Mauna Kea.

DOT DOT DOT

The elipsis (...) is by far my fave punctuation mark, I use it most often, even with other P-marks (i.e. ??? or !!!). I guess three is just such a purty ### that I can't resist it... YAY!!! and after reading this you wil say ???
The elipsis indicates that there is more to follow, therefore it is the ultimate in suspense: The Suspensory Punctuation Mark (SPM, hmm... try mixing those letters up a little...)
BTW I Had a great time at Paramount's King's Island today, and tomorrow I go to Hawaii, YAY!!! (exclamatory elipsis)
I'm taking my laptop, but I prolly won't have internet, but if I do, I'll continue to update my blog.
Oh yeah,,,((comentary elipsis?) I'm not sure that one's legal...) I also got 2 new knives (POINTY!!!) one is pretty plain, but cool shaped and the other has a really cool chinese dragon engraved on the handle)
???internet??? (interrogatory elipsis)
we'll see...(there it is again...)
good bye...(you just can't get rid of them...)
And now every one wonders what I will post next...
(me too actually, I don't know. Is that bad? Maybe it will cause the world to end...)

Bye again...

Well I'm off to Hawaii on saturday and will be gone till the 21st, i'll try to post again tomorrow (later tiday since it's one o'clock)
I'm in a really wierd mood tonight, I feel,

i don't know
but i kinda like it
this must be how tommu feels
when he posts his really long posts,
i'm going to kings island tomorrow
it should be fun...
i'm listening to the soundtrack from "A Beautiful Mind" right now
it's very feathery/floaty music,
perfect for my mood,
good for sleeping to,
i like it
tommu just AIMed me

i wonder if this is what it's like to be high?
feels great
i think it's induced be lack of sleep
the orange light is flashing again
damn aim
it's so persistent and annoying
always wants to be the center of attentio
i really should get more sleep
this can't be healthy
i have to get up at eight thirty tomorrow
to go to kings island

The Zombies Have You!

They are pursuing you tirelessly, they don't rest, they don't sleep, they don't eat, they don't drink coffee, they don't have lunch, they don't have dinner, they don't have sex, and they know where you live...
(They do have breakfast, which would be your brain.)
The only way to beat them is to join their minions.

Big Fish

While on vactation in North Carolina I went deep sea fishing. The following is my journal entry for that day

June 28, 2004
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, Fishies!!!
Today I went fishing in the deep blue sea.
You should have seen the one that got away. No, really. A beautiful, big dolphin fish. it slipped off the hook just as we were lifting it into the boat. Oh well.
We did catch a slew of sea bass, several lizard fish (which are used for bait), a blue grunt, two sand sharks, a baby bull shark.
Dinner was great.

I'm Back

Hey Y'all. I jest got back from backpacking in Red River Gorge, which is in Kentucky for those of you who don't know. The scenery was beautiful. I went rock climbing after wards, which was lots of fun.
Before that I was in North Carolina, for a family reunion. We stayed on the beach and had lots of fun. I watched a lot of movies, did a lot of reading, and beat Metroid Fusion for game boy advanced. I also did some swimming, learned how to surf, and went deep see fishing (more on that later). It turns out that I'm a pretty good surfer.
All in all I had a great time. I've got a lot of catching up to do since I didn't post at all last week, so expect more soon.
